Ed Woodward and Man Utd slammed
Former Manchester United star Ander Herrera has explained that football was not the priority during his time at Old Trafford.
Herrera left United at the end of last season, joining Paris Saint-Germain following the expiry of his contract at Old Trafford.
There has been plenty of criticism towards United chiefs in recent years with many believing the likes of Ed Woodward are more focused on results off the pitch than on it.
And Herrera has suggested that was the case, claiming football was not the priority.
Herrera told French magazine So Foot: “I was very happy at that incredible club. I am very grateful to the supporters. Frankly, I was immensely happy in Manchester.
“But at the club, there were times when I felt that football was not considered the most important thing.
“I will not say [whether he was referring to the business].
“That does not come out of my mouth. I don’t know, but football was not the most important thing in Manchester.”

Lampard on Chelsea transfer plans
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard says he is ready to spend if their January transfer ban is lifted.
“I will cross that bridge when it comes to it,” he told talkSPORT.
“I am very happy with what I’ve got, but it is something we would always look to as Chelsea.
“Can we improve in areas and only do business if we can improve and it feels it is the right thing for the group.
“Not just personnel wise, but in the balance and the way we are going.
“I will look at that one, but at the moment I can’t ask for any more. It’s nice that what happens at the appeal is really down the list of my priorities at the minute, the real priority is going game to game and trying to improve all the time.”

Granit Xhaka wants Arsenal exit
Granit Xhaka will be sold by Arsenal in January after a bitter falling-out with fans led to him being stripped of the captaincy, according to reports.
Arsenal midfielder Xhaka was removed as club captain earlier this month after arguing with fans.
The Swiss star was filmed telling Gunners supporters to “f**k off” after being substituted at The Emirates.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was named as the replacement captain by Unai Emery, and it now appears he will be removed from the club entirely.
The 27-year-old has reportedly told the club that he wants to leave in the January transfer window.
The Daily Mail claims Xhaka has made his feelings clear to the club, as he believes there is no future for him in north London.

Man Utd want Jose Gaya
Manchester United are edging closer to the signing of Valencia star Jose Gaya, according to Spanish publication Deporte Valenciano.
The left-back has caught the eye of United scouts after his consistent performances in La Liga.
United see the position at the left of their defence as an area for improvement with questions over Luke Shaw’s fitness and Ashley Young’s contract expiring at the end of the season.
Brandon Williams has emerged as a capable understudy to a first-team choice and Gaya as seen as that, with a January transfer possible.

Liverpool stance on Kylian Mbappe transfer
Liverpool are not interested in signing PSG star Kylian Mbappe.
Reports from Spain this week claimed the Reds are hoping to beat Real Madrid to the France international.
However, The Athletic say there’s no truth to the rumours.
They add that Nike would not help fund the transfer, which would cost around £215m.

Ed Woodward wants two Man Utd transfers
Manchester United chief Ed Woodward has earmarked Declan Rice and Jadon Sancho as priority transfer targets.
The Red Devils are keen to bolster their ranks amid their struggles under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
They’ve won just three of their first 11 Premier League matches and currently stand little chance of breaking into the top four.
And Goal say that, over the next two transfer windows, Manchester United will try to lure Rice and Sancho to the club.

Barcelona want Arsenal star Aubameyang
Barcelona are the latest European big gun to be linked with a potential end-of-season move for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Spanish TV show El Chiringuito claim the Catalan giants are prepared to offer the Gabon international a route away from north London.
Arsenal are yet to live up to what they promised Aubameyang when he joined them with challenging for Premier League glory a long way off.
Real Madrid have also been touted as an option for the former Borussia Dortmund hitman, who is the Gunners’ top scorer this term.
