Inter Milan have publicly declared their interest in signing Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal. The Italian giants are on the lookout for reinforcements this month, with manager Antonio Conte eyeing several players.
Amongst those on the former Chelsea manager’s wish list is Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen, whose future seems certain to lie away from the north London club.
And that name can now boast the list of Vidal, who – like Eriksen – also has an uncertain future at his current club.
“We’ll do something, it’s an important moment and we want to keep going,” Inter’s general manager Giuseppe Marotta told reporters.
“Vidal is one of our targets. As for [Tottenham playmaker Christian] Eriksen, the market closes at the end of January.

Vidal has played 21 times for Barca this season but has only completed 90 minutes on just five occasions.
The midfielder is said to be disappointed with his habitual warming of the bench and contemplating a move away from the Catalan capital.
Barca, however, have no intention of letting the former Bayern Munich man leave the Nou Camp this month.
“We’re not thinking about him going to another team,” Barca boss Ernesto Valverde said after his side’s 3-2 Supercopa defeat to Atletico Madrid on Thursday.
“We’ll see tomorrow [Thursday]. In principle he’s with us. No clues.
“Arturo Vidal plays for us… we don’t pay any attention to other clubs being interested in our players.”
Barcelona will be back in action on Sunday evening, welcoming Granada to the Nou Camp.
Manchester United and Inter, meanwhile, will both be in action on Saturday, welcoming Norwich City and Atalanta to Old Trafford and the San Siro respectively.
