MANILA, Philippines — Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman George Erwin Garcia on Monday expressed support to the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s (INC) nationwide peace rally but he cautioned political candidates not to use the gathering for their personal interest.
Garcia said the INC had all the good intentions in organizing the rally but this should not be taken advantage of by grandstanding politicians or “epalitiko” to jumpstart their campaign for the May 12, 2025 national and local elections.
