MANILA, Philippines — The Japanese Embassy in Manila on Wednesday opened five visa application centers nationwide to expedite processing and issuance amid the influx of Filipino tourists to the Land of the Rising Sun.
In January, the embassy advised Filipino tourists to file their visa application two months before their expected arrival to Japan as the processing of visa requests would take longer due to the backlog.
