MANILA, Philippines — Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Sunday denied he resigned from his post or was replaced.
“Not true until it actually happens. I don’t know how the speculation started,” Bersamin said in a text message to Palace reporters.
Reports circulated online that Bersamin was on his way out and was set to be replaced by Finance Secretary Raphael Recto.
Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Claire Castro brushed off reports that Bersamin was leaving after pocketing P380 million in kickbacks from irregular government projects.
