It’s April 2nd 2022, which is World Autism Awareness Day.
Recognised annually since 2007 at the start of World Autism Month, the day encourages Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness of Autism.
Autism Spectrum Disorder is a lifelong developmental disability which affects how people communicate and interact with the world.
According to the National Autistic Societyaround 1 in 100 people on the autism spectrum.
Some of the world’s most prominent buildings, including the White House, Empire State Building and Arc de Trimophe, are expected to be lit up in blue in honour.
