MADISON, Wis. (WXOW) – Figures released by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on Saturday said an additional 32,000 people are now done with the COVID-19 vaccination process.
Data from Saturday showed 2,149,489 people, or 36.9 percent of the state’s population, are now fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
The numbers said that 2,575,417 people in the state have received at least one dose of the vaccine. That translates to 44.2 percent of state residents according to DHS.
In Western Wisconsin to date, 121,663 people have received at least one dose of the vaccine. It equates to 44.3 percent of the total number of people in Western Wisconsin. 106,404, or 38.8 percent, have completed the vaccine series.
The DHS figures show that 59,354 people or 50.3 percent of residents of La Crosse County have had at least one dose of the vaccine. 51,491 people in La Crosse County or 43.6 percent completed the vaccine series according to the state.
In other counties, these are the percentages for the population completing the series of COVID vaccinations: Monroe: 29.9 percent, Vernon: 35.7 percent, Trempealeau: 41.5 percent, and Jackson: 31.3 percent.

DHS said there were 20 more deaths in the state from COVID-19 reported on Friday. The number of deaths in the state from the virus is 6,904.
One death was reported in La Crosse County. As of today, there have been 86 people who have now died as a result of the virus. It is the third straight day with a COVID-related death in the county and the fifth this month.
A death was also reported in Trempealeau County.

47 people were hospitalized in the past day as well.
With the addition of 525 cases, there’s now been a total of 602,790 cases since the beginning of the pandemic. Another 3,039 tests came back negative.
Of all positive cases reported, 587,222, or 97.5 percent, are considered recovered.
