President Trump on Tuesday signed an executive order expanding access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) services.
“The Order directs policy recommendations to protect IVF access and aggressively reduce out-of-pocket and health plan costs for such treatments,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt wrote on the social platform X Tuesday afternoon.
Also on Tuesday, the Senate said it would take up its budget resolution this week, setting the chamber on a path to enact the president’s agenda.
It sets up a time-consuming process that also butts up against the House version, which is likely to be taken up when the chamber returns next week. The Senate’s budget debate will follow consideration of more of President Trump’s nominees, including Howard Lutnick for Commerce and his pick for FBI director, Kash Patel.
Earlier Tuesday, the Trump administration met on in Saudi Arabia with Russian officials to discuss an end to Russia’s three-year war in Ukraine — but no delegation from Kyiv took part.
And later in the day, Trump will sit down with Fox News’s Sean Hannity alongside tech billionaire and ally Elon Musk.
