Meanwhile, ten Kuki-Zo tribal MLAs, including seven from the BJP, stated that the NDA meeting resolution seeking the handing over of cases relating to the death of six Meitei civilians to the National Investigative Agency smacks of measures “taken by a communalised state”. The MLAs have recommended that all civilian killings from May 3, 2023 — both in the valley and Hills — be handed over to the NIA.
