The “I Can’t Drive 55” singer last performed a residency on the Strip with 14 shows at The Strat in October and November 2021 and February, March, and July 2022.
The band’s current lineup will include former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, “Surfing With The Alien” guitarist Joe Satriani, former John Mellencamp drummer Kenny Aronoff, and Rai Thistlethwayte on keyboard.
Sammy Hagar’s residency will cover his whole career
Hagar’s residency will encompass the rocker’s career from his beginnings with Montrose, his solo hits, the Van Halen period, Chickenfoot, and possibly the Waboritas. “Mas Tequila,” anyone?
“I’m so looking forward to this residency and being able to stay in one place so we can get the sound and production completely dialed in,” Hagar said in a statement. “It also allows the band to experiment with the setlist every night – that’s why it’s going to be exclusive to Las Vegas.
“Instead of traveling all day on tour when there’s no time to rehearse and make changes. I plan on digging deeper into the Van Halen catalog, and my solo career, Montrose and Chickenfoot, as well. The fans are in for a lot of surprises,” said Hagar.
Hagar’s residency follows his sold-out Best of All Worlds Tour which ran from July 13 through Sept. 23, beginning in West Palm Beach, Fla., and ending in Tokyo.
