ECONOMYNEXT – The Colombo Stock Exchange’s All Share Price Index (ASPI) fell 0.32 percent, data on its site showed.
The ASPI fell 66.29 points on Friday to close at 20,649.20; while the S&P SL20 index dipped 0.21 percent, or 12.86 points, to close at 6,095.63.
The ASPI was weighted down by Ceylinco Holdings which ended 178.50 rupees down at 3,021; Commercial Bank which ended 2.25 rupees weaker at 195.25; DFCC Bank which ended 3.50 rupees up at 162.25; Carson Cumberbatch which moved 39 rupees down to 800.25; and Melstacorp which closed 1.75 rupees lower at 162.25.
Turnover fell to 5.1 billion, while the share volume was 181,232,722.
Elsewhere, the Pakistan Stock Exchange’s KSE 100 Index was trading 0.53 percent stronger at 150,019.23.
India’s Nifty 50 fell 0.85 percent to 24,870.10, while the BSE Sensex was 0.85 percent up at 81,306.85.
Meanwhile, Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 index ended slightly higher on financials, Japan’s The Mainichi newspaper said.
The index moved 0.05 percent, or 23.12 points higher, to 42,633.29.
