Wyvern is partnering with India’s Dhruva Space and will integrate the company’s hyperspectral offerings into Dhruva’s on-demand hyperspectral data platform AstraView.
Dhruva Space said the integration will include their “distribution channels and ground station network” as well offering the data in their Virtual Constellation where their customers have “access to more than 200 satellites.”
The AstraView platform, which was launched today, also includes partnerships with Array Labs, Axelspace, Capella Space, Geosat, Maxar, Planet, Satellogic, SI Imaging Services and Unseenlabs.
Dhruva Space said that “through AstraView, Dhruva Space provides an ecosystem-based approach to satellite imagery, enabling flexible, near real-time tasking. Additionally, AstraView allows customers to search and order archived imagery or request for fresh collection of satellite data, ensuring they have access to both historical and real-time geospatial information.”
Data from the Wyvern hyperspectral satellite constellation, which at the moment consists of three Dragonette satellites, will be used by Dhruva Space to “offer tailored solutions, enabling novel use-case development for the Indian market, such as monitoring harvest yields, effects of crop burning” and other strategic use cases.
Wyvern said the Dragonette satellite constellation “offers a leading-edge solution with a ground sampling distance of 5.3 metres. This technology enhances operational capabilities in areas such as vegetation and crop health monitoring, material identification, biodiversity mapping, and many more. Wyvern’s Dragonette satellites feature 23-32 spectral bands across the visible and near-infrared (VNIR) spectrum.”
