Momentus Inc. (NASDAQ: MNTS) has announced a contract with SpaceX to participate in a Transporter rideshare mission scheduled for early 2026.
The company plans to launch its Vigoride Orbital Service Vehicle (OSV), a flight-proven platform, to Low-Earth Orbit (LEO). The mission will include payloads from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) alongside commercial customers.
Momentus is offering additional capacity for customers requiring LEO deployment or hosted payload missions during this timeframe. The Vigoride vehicle can support payloads of up to 200 kg, including microsatellites and cubesats. It provides an average power output of up to 1kW and can deliver hosted payloads into orbits above 500 km, below the International Space Station.
Customers seeking cost-effective options for deploying or operating payloads are encouraged to contact Momentus to secure remaining slots.
“We’re thrilled to be under contract supporting DoD programs, including for our upcoming launch and look forward to also deploying commercial payloads in orbit on this upcoming launch of our Vigoride Orbital Service Vehicle,” said Momentus Chief Executive Officer John Rood. “These exciting collaborations position Momentus at the forefront of the future in-space economy.”
