Due to recent flooding of the Guadalupe River
VICTORIA, Texas – Riverside Park and Riverside Golf Course remain closed following the recent flooding of the Guadalupe River.
On Oct. 26, the golf course is expected to reopen. Although much of the course is still flooded or wet, the course will reopen once it dries out. Staff will need to clear debris and mow the course before it can reopen.
Beginning Thursday, golf course staff will be available via phone during business hours at 361-573-4521. You can also book tee times online at www.playriversidegc.com.
Parks & Recreation staff continue to monitor the river level. It will reopen Riverside Park once it is safe to do so. Before the park can reopen, staff will ensure the park is safe by clearing away any debris.
Parks & Recreation staff estimate that some areas of the park will reopen on Friday. Low-lying areas, such as Grover’s Bend, Fox’s Bend and the Riverside Soccer Complex, may be closed until next week. You should avoid entering barricaded areas of the park.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Guadalupe River in Victoria was at a minor flood stage. You can find the latest updates on river levels by visiting water.weather.gov.
