THE A5 outside Oswestry is open again after a family and its dog were left in need of emergency services after a car fire on Saturday night.
The accident happened on Saturday night at around 8pm around the Queen’s Head but the family and its pet were safe while police and firefighters attended, with emergency services still on scene.
Police from Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) tweeted that the passage of road was open again but urged drivers to be careful.
They tweeted: “A5 at Queens Head is now open.
“Please drive carefully due to water and fluids on the carriageway.
“Vehicle still in situ awaiting recovery and road surface to be checked for damage.
“Signage is out for a reason.”
