Escudero: No impeachment trial, no special session while Congress in recess

MANILA Philippines — Senate President Chiz Escudero is firm: There will neither be an impeachment trial nor will there be a special session to hold one against Vice President Sara Duterte while Congress is in recess.

He said calling a special session to convene the Senate as an impeachment court during a recess was unconstitutional.
