Capcom extended the Open Beta Test 2 by 24 hours due to a PlayStation Network outage on February 7. The updated dates for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam are:
February 6, 2025, 7:00 PM PT – February 9, 2025, 6:59 PM PT (Concluded)
February 13, 2025, 7:00 PM PT – February 17, 2025, 6:59 PM PT
February 14, 3:00 AM GMT – February 18, 2:59 AM GMT
The beta supports crossplay and is open to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S users, even if they are not subscribed to PlayStation Plus or Game Pass Core/Ultimate. Players who participated in the first test on PS5 can transfer their character creation data.

How to Join
Players need at least 18 GB of free space on their PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, or PC. The beta can be pre-downloaded one day before each access window.To participate:
Visit the PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam store during the pre-download period.
Search for Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta.
Download and install the beta, ensuring enough storage space.
Once the beta begins, players can start playing immediately.

The Open Beta Test 2 includes several gameplay elements:
Character Creation: Players can create their hunter and Palico companion.
Story Trial: Experience the beginning of the game.
Online Features: Create private lobbies and play with friends.
Training Area: A training dummy is available for testing combos and counter timing.
Doshaguma Hunt: Players can battle this monster solo or in a group with crossplay.
Gypceros Hunt: A returning monster from the series is available for hunting.
