(UPDATE) A GROUP of lawyers from Mindanao on Tuesday petitioned the Supreme Court to stop the impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte, saying that the complaint was rushed and constitutionally infirm.
The move came on the same day the Supreme Court ordered the Senate to comment on an earlier petition that seeks to compel the chamber to begin the impeachment trial immediately.
