In the aftermath of the deadly Goa nightclub fire earlier this month that claimed 25 lives and put a national spotlight on fire safety at entertainment venues, another fire was reported on Friday morning at a bar in Bhubaneswar’s Satya Vihar area, police said, according to PTI.
Authorities confirmed that no casualties have been reported so far. The incident came to light when local residents noticed thick smoke rising from the establishment and immediately alerted the fire brigade.
Teams from the Odisha Fire Services rushed to the spot and began operations to contain the flames. Officials said efforts were still underway to bring the situation under control.
“Measures are being taken to prevent the spread of the fire to nearby buildings,” an official said.
