A mum has urged Aldi to change the font of its hand gels after misreading the store’s Lacura range.
Stacey Jane was in the middle of her weekly food shop when she came across the products she feared had an X-rated typo.
The 40-year-old, from West Sussex, spotted the font on the budget supermarket’s own brand hand gel of lemon fizz flavour.
She “burst out laughing” in the middle of the aisle when she saw the elaborate font made the F look like a J.
The mum-of-four shared a snap of the bottle on Facebook with the caption: “I’m thinking Aldi needs to change the font.
“I didn’t think that said fizz.”

She wasn’t the only customer to be left red-faced either as Kenny Wyatt, from Glasgow, pointed it out on Twitter.
Stacey said: “I thought oh that’s new, looked at it and thought oh my Lord.
“Literally, I thought it was a J. I burst out laughing in the middle of Aldi and people were looking at me like I’d lost my marbles.
“It was one of those things where you think I have got to take a picture and I have got to share this because it’s hilarious.”

She added: “I thought people would find it so funny and it would cheer everybody up.
“I shared it on my Facebook as well as the Aldi page and mostly people were laughing at it.
“They knew immediately, for sure. If they’re laughing at it then they knew what I saw.
“This was the first time I had seen something like that.”

Kenny also posted on Twitter, writing: “Can’t help but think Aldi should’ve double checked the font on the lemon fizz hand gel.”
Stacey said her friends also found the situation hilarious, with many saying lockdown made the mum see things that weren’t there.
One wrote: “It’s a clever lemon that can do that,” another added: “That may say more about your mind than it does about the font.”
Daily Star has contacted Aldi for comment.
