The Middle East’s premier healthcare exhibition, Arab Health, will celebrate its 50th edition in January 2025, returning to the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from January 27-30.

Under the theme, “Where the world of healthcare meets”, the event is set to draw an even larger international audience and mark a significant milestone in the healthcare industry.

The 2024 edition of Arab Health was a record-breaker, securing more than Dhs9bn in deals, hosting 3,600 exhibitors, and welcoming over 58,000 visitors from across the globe.

As the event gears up for its 50th year, expectations are high, with the 2025 show anticipated to feature more than 3,800 exhibitors, an increase driven by expanded floor space, including the addition of the Al Mustaqbal Hall.

Visitor numbers are also projected to surpass 60,000, reinforcing Arab Health’s role as a global leader in healthcare innovation.

Since its inception in 1975, Arab Health has grown from a modest exhibition with just 40 exhibitors to a globally recognised platform for healthcare professionals and industry leaders.

Initially focused on showcasing medical products, the event has expanded over the years to become a critical hub for medical technology, research, and global collaborations. Today, it serves as a cornerstone for advancing the healthcare industry in the region and beyond.

Arab Health 2025 to showcase future of healthcare

As Arab Health celebrates its golden anniversary, the event will place a strong emphasis on innovation and the future of healthcare.

The 2025 edition will feature several new initiatives, including the World of Wellness and Healthcare ESG conferences, which will highlight the latest advancements in wellness, sustainability, and healthcare technologies.

These conferences will focus on groundbreaking pharmaceutical developments, health tourism initiatives, and strategies for a healthier, more sustainable future.

The Smart Hospital and Interoperability Zone, powered by Cityscape, will offer attendees an immersive experience of healthcare’s future.

This area will showcase sustainable healthcare technologies and medical equipment that integrate seamlessly to enhance patient care, reflecting the growing importance of innovation in shaping the patient experience.

Additionally, the Transformation Zone will host talks, product showcases, and the highly anticipated Innov8 Start-up competition.

Last year, VitruvianMD claimed the $10,000 cash prize for its AI-driven biomedical technology, demonstrating the rising role of artificial intelligence (AI) in revolutionising healthcare solutions.

AI and healthcare: Focus of Future Health Summit

A highlight of Arab Health 2025 will be the return of the Future Health Summit, bringing together global experts to address the transformative potential of AI in healthcare.

The invite-only summit will explore the latest advancements in AI, particularly its role in improving healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

“AI in healthcare, though still in its early stages, is showing immense promise,” said Ross Williams, senior exhibition director at Informa Markets. “Research is focused on developing advanced algorithms that leverage deep learning and machine vision to automatically correlate patient data with clinical insights, ultimately facilitating more timely and accurate diagnoses.”

The summit will also focus on how AI technologies can drive operational efficiency, improve patient care, and enhance the healthcare experience.

Expanded educational opportunities

Arab Health 2025 will feature nine continuing medical education (CME) accredited conferences, offering medical professionals a chance to expand their knowledge across a variety of specialties.

These conferences will cover radiology, obstetrics and gynecology, quality management, surgery, emergency medicine, infection control, public health, decontamination and sterilisation, and healthcare leadership.

In addition, four new thought leadership conferences will take place, covering topics such as women in healthcare, digital health, AI, and investment in the healthcare sector.

Networking and government support

The Arab Health Village, an extended space for networking and relaxation, will return, providing attendees with a dedicated area for informal discussions and connections, alongside food and beverage services throughout the show.

This space will offer a chance for delegates to unwind and engage in meaningful conversations during the event.

Arab Health 2025 is also expected to benefit from strong government support, with backing from the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, the Dubai Health Authority, the Department of Health, and the Dubai Healthcare City Authority.
