With ever-growing popularity, Roulette is one of the most famous and frequent casino games played around the world. Roulette is essentially a game of chance – placing bets on where you believe the little white ball will land next, within the pocketed compartments of the Roulette wheel. Martingale System
Considered one of the most popular strategies amongst online players, yet not favoured by seasonal players, the Martingale is essentially a strategy that involves betting big, to win small. The idea is to increase your bet after every loss, by doubling your betting amount each time, so that when you eventually win, you’ll win back the money lost. When you do spin in a win, you place your bets back to the original starting amount.
The most effective way to use the Martingale strategy is to only bet on even-money outside bets such as low/high, red/black, and even/odd. This is because outside bets have a roughly 50% chance of winning, yet at the same time, offer the lowest payout of 1:1, meaning that you essentially win the same amount you placed a bet with. The Martingale is a very risky way to play a game of Roulette.
D’Alembert System
Just like the Martingale, the D’Alembert is a strategy based on placing your bets on even-money areas of the Roulette table. However, instead of doubling your wager each time you incorrectly predict the ball’s landing spot, you add your original wager to the last bet amount made, and if you correctly predict the outcome, you take away your original betting amount. For example, if your first bet placed is 1.00, and you lose, your next wager amount will be 2.00. If you lose again, it rises to 3.00. If you then correctly predict the outcome, you decrease your amount by 1.00 to place a wager of 2.00 in your next game, and so on.
One of the biggest advantages of using this strategy is that you can keep a handle on your wagers, at least in the short term, and know what you’ve lost, and what you have gained.
Fibonacci System
This is known as one of the safest strategies, compared to the last two. The Fibonacci strategy is based on the Fibonacci numbers – a sequence where the next number equals the sum of the previous two numbers. The Roulette strategy itself is based on the wager you place each time, with the idea that your wager amount will increase in the same way the Fibonacci number sequence does; 1 – 1 – 2 – 3 – 5 – 8 – 13 – 21 – 34 – 55 – 89, and so on.
However, with Roulette’s gameplay based on the art of chance, there are no guarantees any of these three strategies will work in your favour, and could even result in you losing more than you thought, so it is always best to gamble with what you are willing to lose.
