ARSENAL have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin after comments from the striker’s agent.
Mikel Arteta is desperate to add a goalscorer this summer, with the England forward a long-term target for the Gunners.
SunSport exclusively revealed on Saturday that Everton plan to cash in on Calvert-Lewin this summer, with both Arsenal and West Ham interested.
And while he is yet to agree to join Arsenal, Calvert-Lewin also hasn’t reached an agreement with any other club.
That’s according to his agent, as reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
They said: “Dominic Calvert-Lewin has not agreed any deal, with any club.
“He is currently working very hard in training and is fully focused on finishing the season strong with Everton.”
Arsenal are hoping to beat West Ham to signing Calvert-Lewin this summer after the Hammers were put off by his £60million asking price in January.
An injury-hit campaign, combined with a possible squad overhaul by Frank Lampard, could see the Toffees accept a lower bid in the summer.
Calvert-Lewin has been restricted to just three Premier League appearances this season, scoring three goals.

But he’s been identified, along with Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak and Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves, as one of the players to take Arteta’s squad to the next level.
SunSport exclusively revealed last month that Arsenal plan to splash the cash once more in the upcoming transfer window after being the Premier League’s biggest spenders last summer.
Billionaire owner Stan Kroenke has budgeted up to £180million to bring the trio of Calvert-Lewin, Isak and Neves to the Emirates.
