Williams joined the London club last July on a one year deal after a successful season with Melbourne City.
Her move was not her first international experience having already spent five seasons in the American NWSL and two seasons in the S wedish Damallsvenskan.
Since signing for the Gunners, Williams has made eleven appearances across all competitions. She has competition from Swiss international Manuela Zinsberger for the number one goalkeeping spot.
“I’m really happy!”, Williams told arsenal.com. “ I just can’t wait to get back and see the fans now. I’ve seen everything on social media, but now I want that fan experience on the pitch and during games because that’s the one thing I’ve missed the most.”
Williams’ contract extension is for one more year.
