With Valentine’s Day creeping up around the corner, it’s no doubt that some lads will be looking to pop the question.
But if you’re on a budget and want to find a cheap engagement ring, well look no further Asda has got you covered.
The supermarket giant is offering lovebirds the budget way of taking their relationships to another level.
So this February 14, the George Home Valentine’s Engagement Ring will be available to buy in stores up and down the country.
In the product description, it reads: “Share some love with this ring. With matching heart box.”
And it’s no surprise that some customers could well be baffled by the price tag.

Shopper Laura Baker was particularly left stunned by the cheap ring.
She joked: “For anyone who is wanting to propose this Valentine’s Day. They do a really cute £1 ring in Asda.
“I wasn’t expecting anything to be in the box to be honest. Thought it was just a ring box.”
Another customer added: “That’s crazy. Wonder what it’s made of.”
Catherine Fryer, Events Buyer at Asda, said: “As the saying goes, it’s impossible to put a price on love but with the average cost of an engagement ring in the thousands, we wanted to offer our customers a more affordable version for 2022.”
But this isn’t the first time we’ve seen cheap engagement rings selling close to Valentine’s Day.
Last year, Poundland relaunched its popular £1 engagement rings in time fo the romantic day of the year.
The Bling Ring range offers various sizes and colours – from a cheap ruby lookalikes to faux diamonds.
Each item is marketed as placeholder jewellery that allows Brits to propose before purchasing their “forever” engagement sparklers.
