Baker Tilly Mooney Moore, a firm of accountants and business advisers, has announced the appointment of Eimear Brown as the group’s new head of audit.
Brown provides the position with over 16 years of experience in roles across Belfast and Dublin at both Big Four and mid-tier companies.
Having commenced her career at PwC Ireland in 2005, Brown then moved to KPMG Ireland as an audit manager before most recently working as senior audit manager and audit director at BDO Northern Ireland.
Joanne Small, audit and assurance partner at the company, said that the “significant hire” acts as a “real statement of intent for the business” by adding a “highly respected and trusted adviser” to the team.
She added: “As the new head of audit, Eimear will also be responsible for staff training and development, ensuring that our exacting standards are maintained across our team.
“Her leadership skills and her sense of purpose will have significant impact as we emerge post pandemic.”
Brown said that it is “the right time” to join Baker Tilly Mooney Moore at a “period of expansion at the firm”.
She added: “Dealing with the outworking of the pandemic, the new trading environment shaped by Brexit, and the increased emphasis on ESG reporting, has placed extra pressures on businesses and organisations and I am confident that our team can rise to those challenges, making sure our clients are in the best position.”
