Hi, I close on a condo in a few weeks and this came up during inspection.
Just got an inspection done. Concrete balcony on the condo I’m about to buy (2nd story, new build) has some pooling apparently in the corner. Green arrows point to draining, yellow arrows point to the pooling I’m concerned about. How concerned should I be? I think everything ends up draining out of the drain and I just might have to squeegee that section of my balcony, but want to be aware if folks think there are bigger concerns. I also uploaded a photo of an earlier walkthrough i did where it doesn’t look nearly as bad, which makes me think this could’ve been a little bit anomalous.
I love this condo and I don’t really want to jeopardize closing for a variety of reasons. If this is a minor thing where I just need to wipe it after big rains or whatever then I may just not push it. If this is like, a future horrible nightmare then I may push to have it fixed before closing, although it seems like it would be a potentially big project. Please let me know what you think, most people I’ve spoken with (including the inspector) didn’t seem to think it’s a big issue, while a few others have made ominous vague statements about how water is always bad.
