Banked, a company that helps people pay directly from their bank accounts, shared that it had partnered with NAB to bring PayTo payments to Amazon’s Australian store. Banked Aims To Expand Pay By Bank Payments In Australia
Brad Goodall, the Chief Executive Officer of Banked, shared that Amazon’s use of PayTo would help more people in Australia start using Pay by Bank. He shared that helping Amazon and NAB bring PayTo to Australia was an important step in growing Banked’s presence across the world.
He shared that Australia was an important market for Banked. He also shared that the company had worked closely with NAB to ensure Amazon’s PayTo system set a new high standard for account-to-account payments.
Goodall also shared that as more people learned about Pay by Bank through well-known brands like Amazon, even more people would start using it. He shared that this announcement with NAB and Amazon would help Australia become a leader in account-to-account payments worldwide.
According to Banked, customers shopping on Amazon’s Australian website could now use PayTo to send money straight from their bank accounts. It shared that this new way to pay let customers avoid entering card details while keeping their payments safe.
It also shared that PayTo gave customers more control over their payments by allowing them to approve PayTo transactions through their online banking.
Banked shared that after a customer set up PayTo as a payment option, they could use it to send one-time or repeated payments with one click, in real time, straight from their bank accounts.
Banked Expands In Australia With NAB Partnership And Strategic Acquisition
Jon Adams, a NAB executive in charge of enterprise payments, shared that the partnership with Banked showed the value of Banked’s worldwide experience.
He shared that NAB enjoyed working with Banked on this project. He also shared that Banked understood large businesses and had deep knowledge of global markets. He shared that this gave NAB the ability to offer the strong security, fast service, and smooth experience that businesses and their customers expected.
According to Banked, this launch with Amazon followed its recent entry into Australia’s market through its partnership with NAB. It shared that both companies had been working together to bring Pay by Bank to more Australian businesses.
Banked also revealed that it had recently bought Australian payment company Waave. It shared that this move strengthened its position in Australia’s Pay by Bank market and helped it form a partnership with Chemist Warehouse. It shared that it would bring a world-class Pay by Bank experience to Chemist Warehouse customers in 2025.
