SYDNEY, Friday 13 December 2024 — New images show Greenpeace banner drop next to Federal Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek’s electorate office in Sydney calling on the government to stop Woodside’s Burrup Hub, with the following quotes attributable to CEO David Ritter:

“Woodside plans to turn Scott Reef and our oceans into an industrial gas zone. Woodside has a troubling history of accidents and environmental neglect, and can’t be trusted with our oceans.

“It’s time for Federal Environment Minister, Tanya Plibersek to step in to do the right thing; to exercise her statutory authority consistently with the majority of nature-loving West Australians and Australians at large, and heed the expertise of scientists, and say no to Woodside’s disastrous Burrup Hub.”
