BDO has announced the appointment of Michael Stallard and Fiorenza Onekawa to its advisory team.
Stallard joins the accountancy giant from Deloitte, where he is set to be the national lead on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOx) and its impact on corporate reporting.
Joining from PwC, Onekawa will specialise in supporting private businesses looking to raise capital in US markets and supporting public companies with regulatory reporting requirements at BDO’s London office.
Since the start of the year, the firm has appointed ten external and 20 internal individuals as a partner.
Paul Eagland, the managing partner at BDO, said: “Over the last few years we have seen unprecedented scrutiny on governance, controls and regulatory reporting for businesses.
“With new changes to regulation coming in as a result of the government’s BEIS consultation, we know now is an important time to be investing in these areas.”
He added: “Michael and Fiorenza bring a wide range of skills and knowledge to the firm and I am looking forward to seeing our advisory team continue to grow as our clients come to us with increasingly complex requirements.”
