President Biden is addressing the nation on Tuesday about the end of the Afghanistan war. The Pentagon announced the last U.S. flight out of Kabul’s airport departed at 3:29 p.m. ET on Monday. Biden said he would speak about his decision not to extend the U.S. mission past the August 31 deadline even though some Americans and at-risk Afghans were unable to evacuate.
