In Love Actually, he stole every scene as ageing rock star Billy Mack, and Bill Nighy is just as captivating to his fans in real life.
Distinctive in his trademark heavy-rimmed spectacles, the actor, 72, was spotted while out shopping in London’s Marylebone.
He was soon surrounded by a group of adoring women of a certain age as he headed into a bookshop.

‘People are perfectly gracious,’ he has said of his fans in the past.
Bill, who has a daughter with Brideshead Revisited star Diana Quick, has been photographed enjoying romantic meals in London, Rome and Paris with Vogue supremo Anna Wintour, although both have remained tight-lipped about their friendship.
Rumours have been circulating about Bill and Anna since 2015 as the pair have been spotted together at numerous fashion shows, theatres and restaurants.

Last summer Bill gifted Anna roses before they sat down for a romantic dinner at an up-market Italian restaurant in Rome.
The rumoured couple engaged in conversation over their al fresco meal and appeared very comfortable in one another’s company.
Bill has always declined to comment on whether their friendship is love.

The pair reportedly became close following Anna’s split from her ‘husband’ of 16 years, Shelby Bryan, in 2020.
In 2015, when asked about it, he replied: ‘Obviously I have nothing to say about that. There are a lot of rumours about me and probably about Anna Wintour.’
Certainly, it has been a while since Anna — who has two grown-up children, Charles, 36, and Bee, 33 with her first husband, South African child psychiatrist Dr David Shaffer — has been seen with Shelby.
One of the last times they were photographed together as a couple was back in 2018 at the U.S. Open tennis championships.
The couple kept their relationship largely private, although behind closed doors they were said to have bonded well with each other’s children and maintained good relations with their ex-spouses.
