A man’s attempt at cooking a boiled egg ended up in disaster when he tried to do it using a microwave.
The bloke, who’s clearly not that savvy when it comes to cooking, took to Reddit to share what happened after his attempt at creating the culinary delight.
The man, who went under the username Kiddsky, shared a photo of his disastrous attempt at cooking the egg in the microwave.
The photo saw the egg smashed to pieces as he showed inside the cooking device.
Unfortunately for his, the food was also splattered every inside, and even outside, the microwave.
Captioning the post, the man wrote: “In the moment of hurry (and madness) I needed a quick way to boil an egg and thought what’s the worst thing that could happen…this!”
Fellow Reddit users were in stitches over the post, with it racking up more than 1,000 up-votes.
One joked: “From years of cookery programmes I’ve learnt that the only thing that matters is if the yolk is nice and gloopy, which it looks like it is, at least in places. In short – nailed it.”
While another added: “I actually broke a microwave doing this. The door flew open from the force and it broke whatever doesn’t let the microwave operate if it thinks the door is open.”
Kiddsky admitted this is what happened to him, as he replied: “That’s literally what happened, thought the microwave blew up. Just forced it open. Still works though for now.”
While a third wrote: “It could have been worse, I know someone that did this and for some reason the egg didn’t explode in the microwave. However they touched it and at that point it exploded all over their face.”
Meanwhile one Reddit user told him how to microwave an egg successfully, writing: “For future reference, make a pin hole in the egg, place in hot water. Four minutes on half power for hard boiled.”
Bit late now, but at least he knows for next time.
Another Reddit user hit headlines today as they shared a furious note from their neighbours about their dog.
Their neighbours had complained about the noise after the man left his dog at home for two hours.
However, it seemed some people were on his neighbours’ side instead of his.
