Paul Gallen will come face-to-face with NRL forward Josh Aloiai for the first time today ahead of their December showdown.
The two stars have been locked in weeks of verbal jousting over social media before No Limit Boxing and Main Event brought them together to hash out the details of the fight.
The sticking point was the length of rounds, with Gallen wanting three-minute rounds but Manly prop Aloiai wanting two minutes.
The duo finally agreed to eight two-minute round during a fiery Instagram live.
“Eight two-minute rounds? Let’s do it then. Paul would you like to fight eight two-minute rounds?” Aloiai said.

Gallen replied: “I’ll fight you (in) eight two-minute rounds, yeah. You’re a piece of s*** though, but I’m still saying you’re a dog. Two minute rounds, seriously, women fight two minute rounds — I’m not being sexist here but you’re a b****.”
Aloiai replied: “Just don’t come out on social media tomorrow and say ‘I’m not signing unless it’s three minute rounds.”
Gallen said: “Listen here, b****. I’ve agreed. Eight two-minute rounds. You’re a b****.”
Aloiai then left the conversation, which allowed Gallen unleash a few more harsh words on his opponent.
“I’m not happy with it but what do I do?” Gallen said.
“I’m a prize fighter. One thing about me is that I’m upfront about what I’m here for. I’m here for the money.
“The thing that annoys me about him is that his team put up a post the other day saying ‘morals before money’ the very same day he’s hitting No Limit up, or me up for $10,000 for seven two-minute rounds.
“He’s 15-years younger than me. He’s 110 kilos, six-foot three. He’s a s**t footy player, he lasts 15 minutes at a time so he’s built for power.
“Two minutes is a whole lot different to three minutes, he’s going to be powerful, he’s going to be hard, and he’s a good fighter. Two-minute rounds is 100 per cent in his favour.
“It’s just not what boxing is supposed to be. I’m not happy about it… but I’ll get him by the end of it. He’s a scumbag, he can’t even handle this, he’s a myth.”
It will be the first time Gallen has been in the ring since being knocked out by Justis Huni in June
The fight is set to take place on Friday 10 December and will feature eight two-minute rounds as part of a two-day boxing bonanza featuring a number of footy stars on the main night.
As well as Gallen and Aloiai, BJ Leilua and Chris Heighington will also be involved as well as Australian Olympic bronze medallist Harry Garside.
