A heart-pounding video of an incredible rescue mission is making rounds across the internet. A large boa constrictor closed its grips around the body of a beloved family dog, but his dedicated humans would not let this be the end.
A shocking recording out of Cambodia found its way to the dog-loving community of YouTube and TikTok. The video shows three children as they fight off a large boa constrictor, desperate to save their treasured canine companion.
We’re unsure of what happened in the moments leading up to this video, but the video begins with a terrified pup in the grips of a massive snake. The boa constrictor is wrapped around the lower half of the dog’s body, getting tighter and tighter as the dog tries to break free. His desperate yelp sends his family into a frenzy, ready to do whatever it takes to save their best furry friend.
The three brave children in the video immediately jumped into action, gathering a metal rod and some nearby leaves. The boys begin to strike the snake with their makeshift weapons, with one trying to get a grasp of the snake’s head. Though leaves would not seem like an obvious threat to such a powerful creature, they appeared to work as a distraction tactic.
The situation escalated even further, as the snake appeared angry that his current meal was at stake. This caused the boa to turn its attention onto the children, likely loosening his grip on his current prey. The snake began to thrash back and forth with the victim still in his grips, though the dog wouldn’t remain there for long.
Their brave methods proves to be successful, as they soon force the snake to let go of the family dog. The boys are able to stretch the large boa constrictor to the point of release, immediately freeing the dog from his terrifyingly close call. The last scene shows the dog scurrying away from the traumatic ordeal, and the jaw-dropping footage then comes to an abrupt end.
We don’t know if the dog suffered any serious injuries, as we were unable to find any information about the family involved. The only thing that is clear is the undying love these boys must have for their family dog, as they refused to sit back and watch this desperate situation unfold.
We are still in shock after witnessing this incredible rescue mission, and hope everyone in the video is now safe and sound!
