The coming year might see NBA teams nab not one but two James’, as LeBron announces his plans to spend his final season in the same team as son Bronny.
“My last year will be played with my son. Wherever Bronny is at, that’s here I’ll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point,” LeBron James said.
With images of Bronny and LeBron James circulating with this announcement, you may have noticed a height difference between the father and son. Let’s take a look at the differences between both players.
How tall is Bronny James?
In July 2020, Bronny James (who was 15 years old at the time) claimed that he was 6ft 2. However, it is likely that he has grown in the two years then.
It has been reported that a majority of males reach peak height around the age of 16; this is, however, dependent on the age they hit puberty. With this in mind, it is unlikely that Bronny James will get taller than he currently is.
So, while he still stands at above average height, he is nowhere close to his father’s towering stature!

Height difference between LeBron and Bronny revealed
LeBron James stands at 2.08m which is 6ft 9. This means that there is at least six inches of height difference between LeBron and Bronny James.
LeBron is one of the tallest players in the NBA, so it’s not a surprise that he towers over young Bronny.
The basketball legend has always been significantly tall. When he was just 18 years old, he was standing around 6ft 8. While Bronny might never match his father’s height, he’s hoping to reach the same professional highs in the sporting world.

More about Bronny James’ basketball career
Carrying on both the name and legacy of his father, LeBron “Bronny” James Jr is currently ranked as the No. 34 prospect in the 2023 class. Bronny, 17, is a high school junior at Sierra Canyon (Calif.).
As of yet, Bronny has not committed to any college basketball program. He will also not be eligible for the NBA Draft until 2024. This is under current league rules which does not allow for high schoolers to go straight into the NBA.
Unless the league changes their rules on teen players, this means that we might not see Bronny and Lebron James on the court together in a professional capacity for some time.
