Caitlyn Jenner has shunned her reality TV roots and her Kardashian daughters from her first political advert.
The TV star announced she was running for California Governor as she faces off current California Governor Gavin Newsom in the recall election.
Her first advert completely ignored her brush with reality TV on the family show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
There was no mention of her famous daughters Kylie Jenner and Kendall who she raised with her ex-wife and Kardashian momager Kris.
In fact, the athlete has dropped her second name completely from her campaign slogan which reads: “Caitlyn for California.”
Instead Caitlyn, formerly known as Bruce, shone a torch on her Olympic glory which goes back to when she first won the 1976 Montreal Olympics decathlon gold medal.
She said: “I came here with a dream 48 years ago to be greatest athlete in world.
“Now I enter a different kind of race, arguably my most important one yet.”
It was her sporting medals which opened the doors to her reality television stints and acting roles.
In her political advert, Caitlyn described herself as a “compassionate disruptor” and “dreamer”.
She added: “I’ve always been a dream. California was once the envy of the world, we had what everyone else wanted.”
Already Caitlyn has caused a stir with her stance on the conversation in the US about transgender women in school sports.
The Olympic star, who came out as transgender in 2015, said it “just isn’t fair” to let transgender girls compete in sports in school.
She told TMZ : “That’s why I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls’ sports in school.
“It just isn’t fair. And we have to protect girls’ sports in our schools.”
The Kardashians have remained silent on Caitlyn’s run for California Governor across their social media platforms.
