Cameron Boyce stars posthumously in the trailer for Runt
Cameron Boyce is seen acting in his final role before his untimely death, with the release of a trailer for teen thriller Runt.
The Disney star, who is best known for his roles in The Descendants franchise and the series Jessie, is seen playing the role of Cal, a bullied teen, in the new movie.
The trailer for Runt was released on Wednesday and Cameron is seen on screen again after he passed away aged 20, due to an epileptic seizure on July 6, 2019.
Now, two years after his passing, he is seen in the opening of the trailer waking up for another day at school for his character.

Cameron is then seen asking the girl his character Cal is crushing on, one of the school’s most popular girls, to go to the Homecoming dance.
It is here that a series of nasty, violent events occur, including Cal being beaten up and shoved into a metal bin before being pushed down a set of stairs.
Cal is then beaten up again after he is invited to a party by his crush, as the violence mounts and Cal is seen at the closing of the trailer starting a fire in a car that belongs to one of his bullies.
Runt also stars Nicole Elizabeth Berger, Jason Patric, Brianna Hildebrand, Tichina Arnold, Seth Lee, Aramis Knight and Mitch Silpa.
The film is the directorial debut of William Coakley, who also wrote the screenplay alongside Armand Constantine and Christian van Gregg.
The film was in post-production when Cameron died at his home in Los Angeles.

When paramedics arrived, he was found to be unresponsive and was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.
His family confirmed three days after his death that an epileptic seizure was the cause.
Runt debuted at the 2020 Mammoth Film Festival and will be released in the United States from October 1 before being made available on demand from October 19.
