A popular TikTok star has died at the age of 36 just days after posting an eerie video online.
The sister of Candice Murley Marystown, who is known as Candi on the platform, confirmed the star had died on Sunday days after a video was posted in which she claimed the “voices in her had had gone silent”.
Sister Marsha McEvoy shared the said news and set up a GoFundMe page to try to help with the star’s funeral costs.
In a statement on the money raising site Marsha said her sister’s death came as a “massive shock’ to her family” and said they weren’t “financially prepared” to deal with the funeral expenses.
The cause of death is yet unknown, but according to Martha, the mother-of-one’s death was “unexpected”.
She wrote: “We have received some news no one wants to hear. Tonight we lost a huge part of our family, my sister Candice.

“This was very unexpected, and our hearts are torn apart. Candice was so full of life and always lived life her own way.”
Marsha asked fans to continue to look back on her sister’s old videos and said: “She had a fanbase like no other.
“Let’s now look back at all her videos and keep them as our keepsakes to keep us smiling while we deal with this loss. She will be missed terribly by many.”
She said her sister always loved singing and dancing and was “full of energy”.
“We just know she is dancing in the sky now. We all know how much she believed in Heaven, she is certainly there,” she added.
In the lengthy post, Martha said she hoped her sister was not “happy and free at last away from her struggles” before describing the shock their family had felt at the news.
As of Wednesday night, the GoFundMe had raised almost £10,000 – more than the family had originally set out to raise.
Marsha said that any money above their target would be given to her son, Maxwell.
Shortly before her death, Candice uploaded several videos to her two TikTok accounts.

In one which was posted days before she died, she lip synced to someone who said: “I hate it when the voices in my head go silent because then I don’t know what those f**kers are up to.”
Fans took to the platform following the news to share their messages of condolences, while some hit out at those who had trolled her – something which isn’t clear whether it was related to her passing.
One user wrote: “I cannot believe this is true. My heart is breaking right now. I asked people to back off with the bullying,” before adding that she knew “this wouldn’t end well”.
Candice is survived by her husband, Dave, and her son, Maxwell.
