Canon EOS R6 and R5 discounted by up to AU$1,725 on Amazon Australia
Looking to make the move to mirrorless? The Canon EOS R6 is a fantastic choice. In fact, we’ve gone so far as to rate it Canon’s best mirrorless camera for most people. While we felt the EOS R6 was a little expensive when it first launched, it’s now over a grand off when you buy from Amazon, and even cheaper than it was on Prime Day.
The EOS R6 comes with best-in-class autofocus and impressive in-body image stabilisation (IBIS), though its 20MP sensor might not be enough for some. It’s also limited to recording video in 4K at 60p, but if that’s not a deal breaker for you, then the discounted price is certainly tempting.
If you’re able to stretch your budget, then you may want to consider moving up to the Canon EOS R5. It continues to impress almost a year on from its launch, and while it has some known heating issues when recording video, its specs and performance are exceptional.

It goes without saying that if you’re after top-notch video capabilities, then the EOS R5 is the way to go. It’s also perfect for those high-resolution shots – whether landscape or wildlife – for very detailed and crisp images.
If those specs are overkill for you though, the EOS R6 is a safer bet. It’s the more sensible option for most photographers and also happens to be a much cheaper alternative to the flagship Canon EOS 1D X Mark III sports DSLR – not to mention it’s also better for low-light photography.
