It used to be a last-ditch resort for men who were balding, but these days, a shaved head is a style statement to rival any haircut.
Robbie Williams shocked fans by unveiling his bald ‘do earlier this week and it was revealed his wife Ayda chopped his long locks off on their balcony.
Sharing a video of the drastic trim on social media, Ayda captioned the post: “@robbiewilliams Is all or nothing when it comes to his hair …and apparently, it’s nothing now 🙂 #nohairdontcare #instamood #thebaldandthebeautiful #who’snext? AWxx”
Many fans commented saying the 45-year-old singer looks better because of the new look. One wrote: “Ah he’s like 90s Robbie all over again,” while another added: “He looks much younger now.”

Bruce Willis’ 27-year-old daugher Tallulah shaved her hair off with the help of dad Bruce and sister Rumer last year while the family were stuck at home during lockdown.
Someone can be heard yelling “you look like Joan of Arc dude” from the sidelines as dad Bruce confidently clips off chunks of hair in a video of the moment of the cut, shared on social media.
Tallulah’s mum, actress Demi Moore, also lent a helping hand in giving her a GI Jane-style makeover.
Justin became known as Buzztin in 2018 when he shared his new buzz cut on his Instagram story.
Smiling in the selfie, he revealed a closely cropped new do. He’s also performed on stage numerous times with the shorter cut.
More recently, the singer came under fire for having dreadlocks.
Critics called his hairdo cultural appropriation, and in an Instagram post last month, Bieber revealed a bald head again, but rather than discussing the accusations, he simply captioned the photo “Happy Sunday.”
Cara lopped off her locks in 2017 and premiered her baldness at the prestigious Met Gala, where the guest list is overseen by US Vogue Editor, Anna Wintour.
She said afterwards that she’d had the locks snipped to challenge beauty standards.

“As a woman you’re always expected to be primping and preening yourself, it’s a pretty nice opportunity to get to not think about that stuff.”
Breaking Bad star Brian Cranston shaved his head to transform into Walter White, his popular character on the show.
And in a friendly show of solidarity with Cranston, many members of the Breaking Bad crew also shaved their heads during filming, reported AMC.
Fans may know this piece of trivia: by the time the team filmed the Breaking Bad spin-off El Camino, Brian was using a bald cap rather than shaving his head.
The Irish actor, who will soon resume his role as Oswald Cobblepot aka The Penguin in The Batman, is another star who couldn’t resist a drastic lockdown haircut.
Colin was photographed in February 2021 with a shiny bald head, around six weeks after he was last photographed with his lush head of hair.
He’d previously adopted the drastic look back in 2002 when he attended the premiere of Minority Report sported a newly-balded head.
Matt Damon shaved his head for his role in the sci-fi thriller Elysium back in 2011, and spoke afterwards about the experience of being bald as “really liberating.”
“I get out of the shower and just run the towel over my head and I’m done,” he told People.
“But the only problem for me was during the summer time. I had to remember to put on sunscreen. I’m not used to that. A friend of mine who is bald told me you only make that mistake once…”

He wrapped the forthcoming movie Dog and shaved his head as a way of freeing himself from the character, he explained recently in a post on Instagram.
“There is nothing and i mean nothing as good as finishing the hardest job of my life.
“And then shaving my head and letting the character go,” the 40-year-old actor wrote. “It’s a bit of a ritual. A freeing of myself. And being free is always my highest intention. And I’m about to be sooooo freee!!!”
David is the pin-up icon when it comes to shaved heads. He first debuted his shaved head look in 2000, but again, under lockdown, he revealed he’d given his hair the chop.
“Just had to be done. #stayhome #staysafe #staystrong GOODNIGHT,” he captioned the photo of him laying on the sofa at home during lockdown.
And the 46-year-old enjoyed some banter with his son Romeo recently when the 18-year-old revealed his own short buzz cut.
It wasn’t shaved entirely, but it reminded dad David of a similar cut he had in 2005.
“Nice hair @romeobeckham I wonder where u got that idea from,” David wrote under Romeo’s Instagram image of his new silver cut.
We have to say, both Beckhams carried it off with style.

In a video posted on the BBC website, she explained the new haircut was “the weirdest feeling,” adding: “It feels so liberating – but this isn’t really about this, it’s about donating.”
She kept the cut for several months and wanted to wear the style on the front of one of her albums, telling Glamour: “I want to keep it like this for a bit, yes. I look like this on my album cover.
“I wanted to make a statement. I feel like there’s no point in shaving your head for charity if you’re then going to just grow it back the next day.”
Without Me singer Halsey shaved her hair off in autumn last year and in a caption on the photo revealing her new look, explained the new do was “just in time for beanie weather.”
Asked by a fan why she’d decision her look, she said she “loves” being bald, and many of her fans were sharing images of their bald heads too after Halsey had shared her look for inspiration.
“I was growing it out for so long and I told myself I wouldn’t shave it till I saw what it was like healthy and long,” she wrote on Twitter, “and then I saw it healthy and long and said ‘mm this is nice but I miss bald.’ and then so I did it!”
