NineSigma, representing DuluxGroup (Australia) Ltd invites proposals from Research, Industrial and Consultant experts for additives or ingredients from sidestream products (including biomass from various agricultural sources) to be utilized create new products for the paint and coating industry.

The goal of any proposed solution is the production of novel materials, useful chemicals and/or coating additives from (bio)waste products. These materials should add value to polymer or coating formulations.
DuluxGroup (Australia) is a manufacturer of paints and coatings and would like to enhance their sustainable product offering by utilizing sidestream (byproducts) from other industries as components of their polymers, paints and / or coatings.
The ideal solution would be a process or technology that can convert biowaste into additives or ingredients that can be directly utilized in polymer or coating formulations. Lab based evidence of these materials as prototype polymers, coatings or additives would be particularly encouraged.
Submissions to this Challenge must be received by Dec 7, 2021.
