Chrissy Teigen’s Courtney Stodden tweets explored
The drama between Chrissy and Courtney unfolded when fans shared some of the tweets made by the actress. Some tweets read: “I hate you,” “Why do you speak like a Fabio book? RT,” and others.
Following this, Courtney also did an interview with Daily Beast and shed some more light on what had happened. Recalling the tweets that were made, Courtney said: “She wouldn’t just publicly tweet about wanting me to take ‘a dirt nap’ but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, ‘I can’t wait for you to die.’”
Shortly after the interview came to everyone’s attention, Chrissy issued an apology in a series of tweets. She wrote: “I am so sorry I let you guys down. I will forever work on being better than I was 10 years ago, 1 year ago, 6 months ago.”
Apology made by the actress explored
On June 14, Chrissy made a return to Twitter to share yet another apology statement. Chrissy admitted she has been feeling a “crushing weight of regret for the things I’ve said in the past.”
Chrissy also revealed she has been privately reaching out to people she has hurt in the past. The statement read: “I’m in the process of privately reaching out to the people I insulted. It’s like my own version of that show My Name is Earl! I understand that they may not want to speak to me. I don’t think I’d like to speak to me. (The real truth in all of this is how much I actually cannot take confrontation.) But if they do, I am here and I will listen to what they have to say, while apologizing through sobs.”
She further explained that the tweets stemmed because she “was insecure, immature and in a world where I thought I needed to impress strangers to be accepted.”
She ended the post by writing, “I won’t ask for your forgiveness, only your patience, and tolerance. I ask that you allow me, as I promise to allow you, to own past mistakes and be given the opportunity to seek self-improvement and change.” You can read her entire statement here.
