We’re all sick of the coronavirus pandemic at this point – after a year and several lockdowns, too many of us are feeling fragile.
After all, we miss our pals and families, going to work, the gym, the pub… oh, what’s even left?
But, it seems that some cheeky Brits are still capable of bringing a smile to people’s faces this spring.
A chuckling bloke posted a snap on Reddit of some graffiti – and it might be the only lockdown pun you’re willing to laugh at anymore.
In the photo, a painted brick wall declared “I get lockdown, but I get up again” in black graffiti writing.
What’s been keeping you going through the pandemic? Tell us in the comments below…
We bet the clever ode to Tubthumping by Chumbawamba had people giggling all day as they walked past it…
The slogan was used by Banksy in 2020 when he painted a tube carriage on the London Underground, but we still think it’s funny here.
The Reddit poster captioned the snap: “Stay strong people.”
And, a whopping 13.3k people liked the post and hundreds commented.
Many chimed in with the traditional “P***ing the night away”.
To which a jokester replied: “Me during last summer’s furlough…”
“P***ing the year away,” added another.
Keeping the joke going, someone added: “Think I’ll have a whisky drink. When the pubs open, that is.”
“And a cider drink?” another asked.
A fed-up Brit noted: “I don’t know if it’s the fact that I’m getting slightly optimistic that this may end at some point but this is the first lockdown pun I’ve even smiled at since the start of the pandemic.”

“F***, now this is stuck in my head,” added another.
