Colby Covington has lashed out at Drake after the rapper put $275,000 on the line in a bet on Jorge Masvidal ahead of UFC 272.
Masvidal was the underdog in his highly-anticipated meeting with sworn enemy Covington and the musical personality clearly saw value in the 37-year-old.
Masvidal though struggled to escape the clutches of Covington, admitting post-fight he needs to work on his wrestling after a unanimous decision defeat.
Covington, meanwhile, admitted it was not his best performance either but took pleasure in proving Drake wrong, calling the rapper out in the post-fight press conference.

“Let’s talk about all the money that Drake lost tonight,” he said.
“He needs to go back to selling those s***** albums to get back the money. He should have went to America’s pick of the week by my bookie.
“I tried to give the people the pick of the week. I’m America’s champ and I was America’s pick of the week. Drake, you suck at sports betting. Go back to your s***** little albums of rapping.”
Covington was his usual, trash-talking self post-fight, challenging Dustin Poirier to a fight and even taking aim at the lightweight contender’s family.
But the American was surprisingly frank in later admitting his win over Masvidal was “not my best performance”, conceding he let his emotions get the better of him.
“That was a real friend of mine at one point in my career,” Covington said.
“He’s just such a backstabbing thief, and he talks so reckless, and he’s tried to make some false narratives to the media, make a lot of lies like he does.
“He’s a liar. He’s a thief. I let the emotions get the best of me, but it was still dominant. I just showed how good I was, that I am the No. 1 fighter in the world for a reason, and it wasn’t even competitive tonight.”
