On Sunday morning, Cal Fire reported containment bumped up to 25% on the Colorado Fire burning between Carmel and Big Sur.As of 9 a.m Sunday, the wildfire still stands at 1,050 acres. It is burning just south of Palo Colorado Road towards Bixby Creek. During a Sunday morning briefing, Cal Fire reports that the fire jumped a fire line Saturday night and is now burning in a northeast direction, towards Palo Colorado. >>To see a map of evacuations, click here. << Cal Fire is reporting that only one structure, a yurt, has been damaged by the fire. They also tell Action News 8 that a fire engine was partially damaged during the fire fight. Firefighters have joined the front lines from around the state. In all, 188 firefighters are battling the blaze. Evacuations:The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office has issued an evacuation order for all areas west of 3800 Palo Colorado Road to Highway 1 and south to Bixby Creek.
