There was plenty of drama at Friday’s press conference but it was a very different type of drama on Saturday at the weigh-in.
There were vicious words exchanged but this time around the two weighed in separately, meaning there would not be a repeat of Conor McGregor’s attempt to kick Dustin Poirier.
That did not mean though that McGregor did not make his presence felt with his words, warning he will make Poirier “pay with his life”.

“In 16 hours time, this man is going to learn that when you disrespect a person’s kindness and take it as a weakness, you must pay,” McGregor told Joe Rogan on Saturday.
“Tomorrow night, I’m gonna make this man pay with his life — and I mean it. You’re dead in that octagon tomorrow night.”
Poirier though was not paying any attention.
“It means nothing. It’s noise,” he responded.
“Tomorrow night, tune in. I want to thank you all for the cheers and for the boos.”
