A construction worker plunged from the seventh floor of a multi-storey car park in Hong Kong’s Kowloon on Saturday, before being rushed to hospital in a semi-conscious state.
The police received a report at 11.33am that a man fell on a truck stacked with bamboo poles used for scaffolding outside the car park building at Choi Wan (I) Estate at Ngau Chi Wan.
A spokeswoman for the force said the injured worker was believed to be working on scaffolding before the incident.
Pictures circulating on the internet showed blood stains covered the man’s head, face, arms and bare chest and his arms were bandaged.
Some equipment such as safety hooks, stripes and a helmet along with blood stains were left on the ground next to the truck.
