The number of deaths involving COVID-19 have increased for the 10th consecutive week, rising by 529 in the week ending November 13, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS). It’s the highest weekly coronavirus death figure since May.
The ONS said the number of deaths registered that mentioned coronavirus was 2,466 within that period, up from 1,937 in the previous week.
Coronavirus deaths accounted for 20.1 percent of all deaths in England and Wales that week.
The ONS then broke down the statistics and said 2,274 COVID deaths were accounted for in England, while Wales saw 166 deaths.
They said the number of COVID-19 deaths increased in all English regions, with the North West having the largest number, accounting for over a third of the deaths (615).
