WELCOME to the final edition of the camera club of the year.
It has been an unforgettable year for many reasons.
Of course the pandemic continued to put a significant strain on all our lives and tragically people continue to die around the world.
Yet in the development of vaccines we have seen greater suffering avoided.
As we head into 2022 we must cling to the hope that it will mark the end of the misery and beginning of living our lives again.
Of course what kind of lives we live will be more up to us than ever.
Many will reject a return to the old ways of living and working and perhaps found the habits of lockdown living more conducive to the way they wish to live.
Others will strive to restore some of the aspects of life of the past and few could argue that our high streets and local businesses will need to be supported like at no point since the end of the Second World War.
However one thing we can all rely upon is the camera club continuing its sterling work in capturing life in our corner of the world for prosperity.
Throughout the year these hardy story tellers have braved all elements and travelled across the region.
They have returned home to share their pictures with the wider public and in doing so have brought a wonderful window of the world to those less fortunate.
